Abstraction It's a strange feeling being in a place you don't know and that you have to get used to in the space of a few hours. I walk about, observe the objects around me, transform the ambiance and colours of the place, make them mine. Little by little, my own perception of things applies itself to the objects, furniture and other parts of the room. Abstraction, little by little, takes over from a too great reality.

Biography Born 22.04.1972 An self-taught artist, my photography is born from an encounter, a crossing of paths. The sort of encounter that models your vision for the rest of your life. During the ten years that I spent in New York, chance led me to work with the photographer Peter Beard for three years. The exploration of his life and work was to mark my own photographic research. The hardest thing to do, once you’ve got started, is to find your own voice. Polaroids brought me back to the common visual theme of my adolescence: my painter mother who formed my way of seeing. With the fuzzy warmth of Polaroid film I lean towards painting and abstraction.
