« Passing through / Passers-by »

I am passing through, a passer-by in this neighbourhood, in this hotel, in this room, whilst time passes by too. There is often a question of time, and it’s also time that decides what we will see in a photo and what we won’t. What we see in this one is part of a carpeted corridor, a thick rug, muted colours, and we can make out the arm of another person, also passing through like me. It’s via this corridor that we slipped into room 43 where we were “passers-by” for one night.

Biography

Born in Paris in 1975
Lives and works in Paris

Initially graduating with a degree in biology from Paris VI University, she decided to dedicate herself to photographer completely in 2000.
Encouraged by prizes and sponsorship from the ‘Prix Photo Folio & Review’, given by Patrick Le Bescont (Filigranes) Arles 2006, Bourse du Talent #31 Kodak professional, Photographie.com, Picto and Prophot, Missions Jeunes Artistes Forum de l'image, Toulouse 2007.
She currently works as an independent photographer for different projects and continues her personal photographic research on different themes; the place of humans in an urban environment, everyday solitude.
