Meanwhile, outside ...drawn by the white light of the thin curtains, take a photo, then, as if pulling back, lie down on the bed. Head empty, removed from time, from the city, I float in the silence of the room. My wandering gaze, trying to understand the space, goes back to the net curtains: the white, cold light, almost setting already, draws miniscule little veins in their opalescence. She sits down. The patterns of her dress go with those on the carpet, the colours harmonise... so I ask her to show me the photo of the monument. To the side, a window opens. Meanwhile, outside the sky of the Pantheon, fixed here and offered by her hands, reinvents itself already. I take this photo...

ALAIN GRELOUD Photographer
Biography Born in 1971, lives and works near Paris. With degrees in law and journalism, Alain Greloud now works exclusively as a freelance photographer. As well as his commissions, he pursues his personal photographic research, influenced by travel and literature. More contemplative and narrational than informative, his photos - tinged with solitude - are often polysemous and leave much room for the imagination and reflection. If his work is sometime marked by the notable absence of human presence, he also treats the theme of humanity more directly through portraiture, notably Man's place in his environment and the the body's place in spaces. Alain Greloud thinks of photography as poetic introspection, a reflection on the world around us that we often do not know how to see.
