AOUT 2006 : BART OMEO

Bart Omeo, where are you?

Letter found in room 61 of the Jardin de l'Odéon, the morning of 13th August 2006:

"...third person to disappear without trace. You have to be careful of old books of spells... I have to check... at midday, lean towards the wall opposite room 61. I've primed the camera... have the film developed... I know you probably think I'm mad... whatever happens, I will come back". 12th August 2006 - 11.45am

Biography

Some of the following information and the accompanying photographs were found stored in the computer left in the room where Bart Omeo disappeared.

Famous photographer of the strange (he preferred to describe himself as "gothic"), Bart Omeo was readying an important restrospective of his work to be shown in the Paris catacombs this autumn.

A secretive man, we know that he was born in the Piemont mountain area, but not not exactly when.

For the last ten years Bart Omeo has visited hotels around the world, researching "portals" that lead to different planes.

Madman? Visionary? Charlatan? Bart Omeo and his work have both been influences by exceptional experiences he had in Roumania, Scotland, the Arctic and Brittany…

Everyone remembers his frightening and fascinating exhibitions in extraordinary places such as volcanic craters (Vesuvius, 1986), prehistoric caves (Padirac, 1994) and basements of famous buildings (undergound lake of the Paris Opera, 1989).

His work is very rarely shown on the web.
