To believe in a dream for an instant..

When somewhere is there just for an instant, next to you, and then suddenly disappears. Believing in their presence, being sure that you are able to feel their warmth, their hand covering you, moving over you…

Arriving in this room, the two of us. Finally believing it. Unpacking ones things. Getting used to the space. These hotel rooms, always so impersonal. Getting used to the space in order to feel warm, its warmth. Getting undressed. Walking around naked. Slipping between the sheets. And then, the kiss. A profusion… letting go…

Waking up. Being just one in bed.

A memory of a confused night. One of those nights where your hands and body move. Images become clearer. The face remains vague. No sound. A sort of drowning feeling.

The day enters through the curtain.
Sat in a bed that looks like a battleground.
The imprint of a head on the second pillow.
A glass on the bedside table.
I check the room, looking for other signs.
Nothing has been left.
Someone rings at the door.
It is breakfast, ordered the previous day.
Just for one.

I work as if reading the real.
Appropriating the world around me.
A lot of unfocused shots, like a sort of protection.
No real technical link to photography.

A bit like a pen left on a table.
A borrow it. And give it back.
Sometimes I feel a bit like I'm dabbling.
But always with passion.

I live and work in Paris.
