Graphic artist since 1994, Xavier Alphand had been exploring the realm of computer-treated imahery for over a decade. With his "Au Hasard Des Secondes" series, he swapped pixels for photo grain, getting out his old cameras (the lomo and holga) and working the styles and atmospheres that are particular to electronic images.

For his latest print project he worked his way un the Belgian from La Panne to Cadzand-Bad in Holland. Empty, dead seaside towns, beach huts disassembled and stored away until the following Summer… Restaurant terraces and kids roundabouts had their winter covers on… A faint nostalgia hovers over the empty campsite aisles…
