What if we told you that we love croissants and pain au chocolat, but that sometimes we just hanker for something different? Shame on us? Well, we tried out Berko’s cupcakes, and something tells me we’ll be going back there soon…

Their site (www.berko.fr) may not be ready for public consumption, but their cakes definitely are! And what cakes! Cupcakes with original tastes and bright icing, lined up and difficult to resist! Plus, they also do savoury tarts, soups and salads…

For the moment Berko have just one shop in Paris, but it’s centrally located, not far from the Pompidou Centre, at 23 rue Rambuteau, 75003 Paris (métro Rambuteau, line 11). Don’t even think of getting there early: they open at 10.30am and putting everything in place takes until midday.
