An exhibition of photos from a photographer who takes photos of photographers, each displayed with a photo taken by the photographer photographed!

Born in 1942, Philippe Vermès has spent almost two decades taking photos of his fellow photographers, not necessarily the most famous ones, but those with whom he felt a certain sympathy or admiration.

The exhibition shows not only these very personal portraits, but also – for each shot – a photo taken by the photographer in question. A fragment of the photographer’s life placed next to a fragment of the photographer’s work. How much can we tell from each? Does one inform the other? An interesting exercise that raises some interesting questions…
