The bestest tennis tournament in the whole world is back, taking sponsorship to classy new heights…The huge event is now generating major spin-offs, with its very own online store (www.storerolandgarros.com) full of keyrings, towels and other essentials. The Paris city council is so keen to keep the event within the city limits that they are even planning (controversially) to smash up some hothouses in a local garden so that Roland Garros can expand, rather than relocate to Versailles. Great idea!

And big respect to the person who commissioned this year’s poster from French artist Hervé Di Rosa. “Hot mess” doesn’t even come near to capturing its special aesthetic…All the details of the tournament are on the the official site, fully translated into English, but our favourite event has to be kids day with turntable madness from the ever-faithful Bob Sinclar and some guest stars.
