Over a thousand exhibits await you in the amazing grand nave of theMusée des Arts Décoratifs, showing the work of painter / interior designer / printer / publisher Piero Fornasetti, best known for his iconic plates.

Created by the Triennale Design Museum de Milan in 2013, the Piero Fornasetti exhibition arrives in Paris to show the full diversity of this slightly mysterious man’s work, a mix of trompe-l’œil with a bit of Escher, architecture and a hint of surrealism.

Active during the 70s and 80s before his death in 1988, Fornasetti’s work was continued by his son Barnaba.

The exhibition will explore the artist’s lesser-known beginnings as a painter in the 1930s, and every stage in his creative life. The official catalogue (55€ here at amazon.fr) will help you learn even more. 🙂
