Open air performances of La Traviata at Invalides
8th-12th September 2015

Directed by singer, dancer and Pierre et Gilles muse Arielle Dombasle, La Traviata arrives for five open air shows in the sumptuous surroundings of Invalides, just minutes from our hotels!

Here’s all the info.
La Traviata en plein air aux Invalides du 8 au 12 septembre 2015It’s great that Verdi’s melodrama should finally arrive in Paris (after Sceaux, Carcassonne…). After all, the opera is set in the city in 1850.

Get ready to meet your favourites Alfredo and Violetta, and get the hankies ready for the end!

Hopefully, Arielle Dombasle’s staging will bring something a little fresh to this evergreen classic…

However, the down side of such a huge production is the cost of seats, and unsurprisingly Paris is the most expensive stop of the tour – up to 95€ per ticket. Even a light evening snack (sandwich, small salad, tiramisu and soft drink) will set you back 21€.

And if you want a small blanket and the catalogue, that’ll be another 25€ please.

La Traviata is outdoors in the courtyard of Les Invalides (here) from 8th-12th September 2015

Show at 9pm. Cancellation possible if the weather’s bad (read this – PDF)
