Three photographers, Andreas Fux, Pedro Slim and Karlheinz Weinberger show us their subjects’ skin, sometimes a little, often a lot, in a new exhibition for adults only at the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff, super close to our hotels.
Pedro Slim photographs young Mexicans who seem completely at ease stripping down for him, Andreas Fux documents Belin clubbers whose bodies are often a canvas on which to put tattoos, piercings and even scarification, and Karlheinz Weinberger shows us Swiss outsiders from the 1950s, provocative rebels for whom tattoos are almost essential to playing / being the part.
Skin deep presents the skin as the expression of one’s personality, something you feel inside that has to be externalised so everyone can see and understand.
The Skin deep exhibition is at the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff (here) from 7th June – 14th July 2018
Public opening (you’re invited) Thursday 7th June from 6-9pm
Open Tuesdays-Saturday, 2-6pm
Free! But adults only, OK?
