We are rather fond of the Botanical series by Swiss photographer Samuel Zeller.
All photos © Samuel Zeller
Samuel Zeller seems to be a rising star in the world of photography. In addition to his generous (and beautiful) selection of 500 copyright-free photos on Unsplash, his book Botanical is a great success for boutique publishers Hoxton Mini Press.
With images taken in Paris, Prague, Glasgow, Genève and elsewhere, you can see the inside of glasshouses, but from outside, the beauty of caged nature, as if trapped against the glass, with colours that give the shots a certain melancholic feel.
The opening party for the exhibition is happening here on Wednesday 20th June from 6-9.30pm (the day before the public opening) and Zeller will be attending.
If you like the images but can’t stretch to buying a print, the book of Botanical, with 100 photos, will be available to buy during the time of the exhibition.
Or you can click the image below to purchase from amazon.fr (18.26€).
Botanical by Samuel Zeller is at the Galerie 34Greneta (here) from 21st June – 29th August 2018
Open Monday-Saturday, 11am-7pm
Save the date 🌿 ‘Botanical’ book launch and exhibition at @theprintspace London tomorrow the 26th April. Join me and @hoxtonminipress for a look at some exotic plants that I’ve shot behind the glass of greenhouses in Europe for the last three years. This one name is ‘Lamiaceae Phlomis fruticosa’ 😍 There will be bespoke cocktails made by Longflint based on the photographs (another reason to come). Starting at 7:30PM, the display will last until 2nd may 🍸👈 — #fujifeed #thisaintartschool #imaginarymagnitude #visitlondon #botanicalgardens #plantsofinstagram #botanicalart #botanicals #noicemag #myfujifilm #greenhouselife #botanicalillustration #myfeatureshoot
