Back for its third year, La Nuit au Panthéon allows you to visit the Pantheon (super close to our hotels), at night with the lights out, armed only with a torch to illuminate the blackness!

What a great idea! For just seven nights, every Wednesday until 30th January, the Pantheon is allowing small groups to visit the monument at night by torchlight, starting in the crypt before moving up to the main nave.

Each visitor gets a little leaflet about the life of French hero Georges Clemenceau, allowing you to get to know the man’s life before visiting the exhibition about him that is currently running.

Before leaving, you’ll also be able to hear excerpts from some of his speeches, set to music from the era.

Two small groups are accepted each Wednesday night at 7pm and 7.45pm, and the visit lasts around an hour and a half.

Tickets for the event are obviously limited. Make sure you get yours as soon as possible, here.

Oh, and don’t forget a good thick winter coat. It’s cold in the Pantheon at night!
