This is your chance to see some of the world’s most extraordinary flowers, with awe-inspiring shapes and exotic scents.
The 1,001 flowers (give or take a few) are taken from the collection of the Natural History Museum, the Arboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup, the Serres d’Auteuil (the Paris city council hothouses), the Jardin du Luxembourg and four French producers: Vacherot & Lecoufle, l’Orchidium, la Cour des Orchidées and Ryanne Orchidée.
On site, experts (from the Société Française d’Orchidophilie and ‘Association Française, Culture et Protection des Orchidées) are on hand to answer any questions you may have about, er, orchids.
There are also two conferences (in French) on the 16th and the 18th February, and a “zoom on orchids” on several days between 20th February and 26th March 2019 (mpre info with the dates and times here). These events are free for anyone with an entrance ticket for the day in question.
And of course, the exhibition makes sure you exit through the gift shop where a number of orchids are available to purchase!
