Oumar is in charge of breakfast at the Hotel Baume. He tells us how he came to work there…
I was born in Paris and age 17 I turned to the hotel trade in order to prepare a BEP (Brevet d’études professionnelles) in services and commercialisation. I worked a lot in restaurants before choosing hotels.
I arrived at the Hotel Baume in October 2017 to look after serving breakfast and oversee the other food and beverage services (Honesty Bar and Room Service).
What I like at the Hotel Baume is being able to offer guests lots of homemade produce, like freshly-scrambled eggs, our own muesli, almond croissants and savoury biscuits.
The breakfast team is also in charge of preparing VIP services such as birthday cakes, allowing us to personalise our guests’ stays!
