The Pantheon is not just a huge, majestic, wonderful monument opposite the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon and Hotel des Grands Hommes – it’s also a space where wild and wonderful events take place, such as these special evenings where you can go up to the dome after closing time and have the secrets of the building revealed to you by young actors…
With the sun going down over the rooftops of Pars, you can discover The Legend of the Pantheon (in French) thanks to members of the Cour des Contes troop, mixing storytelling, music, humour and poetry inspired by over 250 years of history, myths and legends.
Lasting 1½ hours, the narrated visit ends with you being able to visit and explore the main nave by yourself, without the usual throngs of tourists. A rare pleasure!
The event isn’t particularly cheap – 20€ per person – and you’ll need to be able to go up a lot of steps to get to the top, but if that all sounds alright, feel free to book your tickets here.
