There are two major garden-related events in Paris this weekend – Rendez-vous aux Jardins with a lot of visits and events on offer, and the Jardins, Jardin fair in the Tuileries gardens, with designer gardens, new products and lots of ideas for your own garde!
Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Rendez-vous aux Jardins – whose theme this year is “Animals in the garden” – hopes to introduce or reintroduce you to gardens all over Paris (and indeed France).
There are around seventy events on offer in the city, with a couple of dozen very close to our hotels:
— The garden of the National Library, usually closed to the public, will be open for visits
— There’s music in the garden of the Delacroix Museum
— You can visit Marie Curie’s garden
— The Pavillon Boncourt is opening its garden specially for the weekend
— The Musée du Vivant has a vegetable patch on the roof that you can visit
— The Zadkine Museum has actors and music in its gardens…
And that’s just a taster! To check out the full detais of what’s on near us, click here.
The other major event this weekend is in the Tuileries gardens – the Jardins, Jardin fair is back with thirty designer gardens, over 100 exhibitors, exterior design prototypes, eight landscape architecture schools invited, a plant and tools sale, conferences, guided visits, workshops and a lot more.
And if that isn’t enough to keep you busy, this weekend also sees the launch of the 2019 season of Kiosque en Fête, meaning there will be theatre, singing, dance and concerts in public gardens all over the city.
