Jackie, an icon exhibition at the Joseph Gallery until 1st September 2019

After Johnny Hallyday last year, the life of a different kind of icon is explored at the Joseph Gallery this year – Jackie Kennedy.

With over a hundred photos, you’ll be able to discover the Kennedy style (Chanel, Givenchy…) and the Kennedy myth around the lady who came to be known as ‘the queen of America’…

25 years after her death, the Joseph Gallery pays homage to a famous woman who fascinates still to this day – Jackie Kennedy.

Kennedy was always at the height of fashion, a free-thinking woman who revolutionised the place of the ‘first lady’ of the USA and drew in a new era of politics in which image was of prime importance. Jackie did a lot to mould the image of her husband as the perfect president.

Sketches of dresses are shown next to photos of her wearing them, and short texts displayed help give further information about the life of this extraordinary woman.
