Keep cool in Paris with these public parks open 24 hours a day

Paris has over a hundred green spaces that are always open 24 hours a day, but during the summer another thirteen are added to the list, and in exceptionally hot weather (i.e. now) another five parks and gardens are specially open.

Here are all the green spaces on the Left Bank that are open all night long!

The rooms of our hotels all have individual air conditioning (to be used sensibly, keeping in mind the environment), but if you’re going round the city and are looking for a way to cool down, one of the capital’s numerous green spaces might well be he answer to your prayers!

A lot of them are open 24 hours a day (shown in green on our map), but for the past few years, during the summer, the city council has been opening even more so that everyone can cool off, no matter what time it is (shown in pink on our map).

And when the heat reaches record levels, like now, five more parks and garden are also open. Two are on the Left Bank – a little square in the 14th arrondissement (square Ferdinand Brunot) and the lovely Parc Georges Brassens (that we explored a little on one of our walks) which covers almost nine hectares!

You’ll find these two in yellow on our map.

Make the most of them all, make sure you drink plenty of water, and keep cool!
