It’s time for our annual list of the best Christmas markets in Paris (many of which are super close to our hotels donc) where you could well find the perfect present for a friend, family member or even yourself!
Our first market is on the square in front of the town hall of the 15th arrondissement. It’s their twelfth edition, with items made by craftspeople from the area.
Until 24th December, around twenty stalls await you, and there are free activities for kids every day, as well as story readings on Saturdays and Wednesday from 3-5pm.
The town hall also has a free Christmas concert at 8pm on 19th December, with the EKINOX trio playing music from famous films. Sounds interesting…
Near Notre-Dame there’s the traditional crafts and edible goods market organised by the non-profit group l’Art et la Seine, one of the few markets to have its own website including photos and detailed information about what’s on offer (for example, you’ll be able to buy braces and hot water bottles filled with organic seeds!)
Elsewhere, the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas market is worth a visit (especially as it’s just down the road from us) and there are two other markets close to the Eiffel Tower. Click the map at the bottom of this article to see exactly where they are.
We’ve also added to the map a couple of other Christmas markets we’ve mentioned recently on the blog, both of which are worthy of attention – the Tuileries Gardens Christmas market and the absolutely huge market at La Défense.
The map isn’t an exhaustive list of what’s on, just a selection of Christmas markets for Paris. You’ll find a few more suggestions (in French) here!
