Renowned author Hervé Guibert, who died of complications brought on by AIDS in 1991, was also a prolific photographer, leaving us with a large quantity of beautiful black and white photos.
This new exhibition at Les Douches la Galerie, their second after Les palais des monstres désirables 18 months ago, presents around sixty vintage prints showing Guibert’s private life: object, shadows in his room, his love ones…
Exhibitions of Guibert’s work are few and far between, but the quality of his work is recognised, especially after the large retrospective at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in 2011.
This is a rare chance to see some of his photos, and entrance is even free! If you love gorgeous black and white prints and shots filled with emotion, this is definitely for you.
