Close to the Hotel des Grands Hommes (which is open!) we are lucky enough to have one of the few Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris with a female chef (and in this case, the youngest Michelin-starred female chef in France). The restaurant is Baieta, and the chef is Julia Sedefdjian.
Julia has just published a book all about her favourite places in Paris, and the photo shoot for the cover was at the hotel!
The series of books called “If Paris were…” takes a photographic look at Paris as seen by female chefs with one or several restaurants in the capital. The guide is split into various chapters – an iconic place, secret Paris, green Paris, cultural Paris…
Each chapter includes a quick introduction explaining why the place in question was chosen by the chef, followed by several photos.
For the cover of Julia Sedefdjian’s book, that you can order here at amazon.fr (96 pages, 16€), the publisher was looking for a large balcony with an amazing view and background symbolising Paris, and the Hotel des Grands Hommes was the perfect choice!
After the photo shoot, we quickly took Julia aside to take a couple of shots of her in the hotel lobby and entrance, and she seemed very pleased with her visit!
