After last year’s online-only event, the Nuit des Musées (Museum Night) is back with a full edition, including free entrance, late opening and lots of great special events.

With over fifty sites participating in Paris, it’s going to be hard choosing where to go and what to see for this year’s Nuit de Musées. Even if you reduce the choice to the Left Bank near our hotels, there’s still a huge amount on offer!

Here are a few ideas…

The Zadkine Museum has “a voyage between words and music” devised by Emmanuel Houzé & Frédéric Daverio, a show that will be move around the museum and even around the garden 😳,

— You can visit the Musée de minéralogie with its precious stones and current exhibition An iron constitution,

— And the Curie Museum has 100% online propositions including a streaming live show, a four-part series inspired by Marie Curie’s voyage to the USA in 1921, and five short videos allowing you to visit the museum from the comfort of your own home!

— The visit of the Grande Galerie de l’Evolution is free at the Natural History Museum from 7pm to midnight,

— There’s a free visit of the temporary exhibition Yves Thos, film poster artist at the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé, Foundation,

— and at the Institut du Monde Arabe, there’s free film showings and free entry not only for their temporary exhibition Divas, but also the museum’s permanent collection.

The Home of Auguste Comte is open for visits, with its exhibition Auguste Comte, bad boy of the École polytechnique,

— There’s lots to see and do at La Monnaie de Paris : modern dance, a demonstration of engraving, guided visits, the Togeth’her exhibition, a visit by lamplight…

— The Musée d’Orsay is free for the evening, as are its temporary exhibitions (Girault de Prangey photographer, Les origines du monde. L’invention de la nature au XIXe siècle) aussi,

— and the Quai Branly Museum has some hip-hop lined up!
