It’s been a hot minute (two years actually) since the Techno Parade, Paris’ answer to the Love Parade, hasn’t been able to happen properly, but this year it is back for its 24th edition, with a route just metres away from our hotels. Get your ear plugs ready!

Together with the Gay Pride Marche, the Techno Parade is one of the most joyous free street parades of the year in Paris. If you are anywhere near the route, there’s not chance you’ll miss the thump of the music or the cries of the 400,000 people expected to take part.

The lineup of eleven sound system trucks has just been revealed. One of them is curated by our neighbour the Arab World Institute, featuring Arabian electronic music, there one truck supporting Ukraine, and other from radio station Fun Radio and sweets manufacturer Haribo 😳

One truck caught our eye in particular – playing house and techno, Dansez pour la planète (Dance For The Planet) boasts decorations made from recycled materials and is powered by biomethane, a 100% renewable natural gas produced locally from organic waste.

The march starts off at Denfert-Rochereau at midday on 24th September 2022 for a 6.5km route that heads north on boulevard Saint-Michel (very close to several of the hotels in our collection), before turning east on boulevard Saint-Germain. Next, it’s off to Bastille and onwards to place de la Nation, where the event ends.

If you intend to take part, don’t forget to drink plenty of water and take all the necessary precautions – partying shouldn’t spoil the party!
