The prettiest and most natural of exhibitions 😜 is back, close to our hotels for its 10th edition! Mille et une orchidées (1001 Orchids) presents 700 orchids in all (almost 1001, but who’s counting?) with new related events and “a natural presentation enriched with spectacular structures”!

The Jardin des Plantes is spectacular at any time of year, but for something truly jaw-dropping, we recommend going to see the Mille et une orchidées exhibition in the garden’s hothouses, especially as this year’s 10th anniversary edition will almost certainly be more exuberant than any of the previous ones.

You’ll enter through what is described as ‘a cascade of golden orchids’, whereupon you’ll have the choice between two signposted walks, one curated by the staff of the garden and another from Stéphane Marie who has a gardening programme on French TV called ‘Silence ça pousse‘.

One of the strong points of these presentations will almost certainly be the three metre-high structure featuring no less than 400 plants! This we have to see…

There are also a number of workshops on offer, advice available about repotting and taking care of your orchids, a stage show called ‘About the sexuality of orchids‘ 🤔, a 150m² shop…

Open every day except Tuesdays from 10am-5pm (6pm starting 2nd March). Last ticket 45 minutes before closing
