The new exhibition at the Delacroix Museum, in the same part of town as our hotels, takes a deep look at the painter’s creative process, showing his sources and inspirations, his preparatory drawings and his genius.
IN addition to the Delacroix works on show, there will be other pieces from selected artists of the 19th & 20th centuries such as Gaugin and Picasso to show the artistic filiations.
Around the exhibition there are a lot of events being organised:
— A conference by the curator of the exhibition entitled L’atelier de l’artiste, la maison de l’écrivain, des espaces autres – on 12th June at 6.30pm (booking required)
— Evening events called Delacroix Before at 6.30pm on 4th July, 1st August and 5th September, with special events (workshops, ‘participative visits’…)
— Two round tables on 23rd May and 28th June (free entrance with your entry ticket)
— Free entrance starting 5.30pm for Museum Night on 18th May
— Concerts every Wednesday and Saturday
— A special evening for the launch of the Parcours Saint-Germain event on 23rd May…
— …and another special evening for the annual Fête de la Musique on 21st June
— A puppet show for kids on 22nd September
— Workshops, guided visits, film showings…
