Lucian Freud, today aged 88, stands among the most important living artists in the world and he hasn’t been exhibited in France since the last retrospective exhibition presented by the Centre Pompidou in 1987. This exhibition presents an exceptional overview of his masterpieces and pays an unprecedented tribute to one of the greatest contemporary painters.

Exposition Lucian Freud au Centre Pompidou du 10 mars au 19 juillet 2010
Lucian Freud, aujourd’hui âgé de 88 ans, est une figure de la peinture contemporaine. Cet artiste, parmi les peintres vivants les plus importants au monde, n’avait pas été exposé en France depuis la première rétrospective que lui avait consacrée le Centre Pompidou en 1987. Hommage inédit, l’exposition présente un ensemble exceptionnel de tableaux retraçant son œuvre : une cinquantaine de peintures de grand format, complétées par une sélection d’œuvres graphiques en provenance, pour la plupart, de collections particulières, ainsi que des photographies de l’atelier londonien de l’artiste.

Exhibition Chopin in Paris, the composer’s workshop
