To see this new museum there's a pretty hefty queue, so as we waited to get in we took advantage of the ambiance of the rue de Rivoli.

Once inside the hall, we were already wowed by the architecture.

The Decorative Arts Museum also houses the Publicity Museum (Musée de la Publicité) and the Fashion Museum (Musée de la Mode), meaning there's something for every taste, and always something new to see when you come back.
The Museum and the collection is vast. You'll need a whole day if you want to see everything in detail.

The Fashion and Textile Museum (Musée de la Mode et du textile

The Publicity Museum (Musée de la publicité)

Publicity photography in France, from Man Ray to Jean-Paul Goude (La photographie publicitaire en France, de Man Ray à Jean-Paul Goude)

The Decorative Arts Museum is arranged chronologically, from the Middle Ages up to modern, contemporary objects.
There are also themed galleries, such as the jewellery gallery that we would particularly recommend.

Empire period

Art Nouveau / Art Déco

Objects from the stylish sketch gallery

Little decorative art masterpieces

The toy section of the Decorative Arts Museum

There are practical toys…

…fun toys…

…and others that prepare you for certain jobs!

There's a hall on each floor that gives a great view of the Louvre

To finish up, an illuminated exit.
