A special project by Tatiana Margaux Bonhomme: "Do as you please (room n°2)…"

Each year, we will be asking a photographer to create a special project based on his/her stay at the Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche group hotels. He/she will also recreate a room as part of the project…

This year, we decided to give the project to Tatiana Margaux Bonhomme, who is used to staying in hotels. She spent one night in each of ours, and here is the result:

Who are they and what is going through the minds of the people who work in the shadows of the hotel corridors?

They have all the keys, see the private life of guests as they wake in the morning, or the night as they go to bed. They are masters of a place which embodies our fantasies, or dearest memories of travel, and our forbidden thoughts.

The hotel is a place of passage, a zone of transit. What happens there doesn’t really exist. All secrets are closely guarded. And this is why anything seems possible there.

At the behest of the Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche group, for a photographic project for which I was given free rein, I asked the staff the following question:

What have you always dreamed of doing in the hotel where you work, but never dared to do?

I have carte blanche. For as long as takes to capture it on film, you can do… whatever you please.
