Your last chance to see Charles Aznavour live in Paris

His last ever concerts in Paris have just begun…

Studying cinema in London years ago, I was shocked to see Charles Aznavour in Truffaut’s Tirez Sur le Pianiste. For me he was a suave singer of easy listening, making grannies swoon around the country with his enchanting accent. Little did I know that he was also an actor.

Now I’m shocked to learn that even back in 1960 he was nearly forty years old, and now he’s over 80! No wonder he feels like retiring. Hence the farewell tour that start in Paris today and ends… on 22nd December in Liege in Belgium! I reckon he’ll be well tired after two months of touring.

If you fancy seeing him at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, now’s your (last) chance. He’ll be playing twenty dates from 9th October until 10th November, with tickets costing between 38 and 158 euros (although you’ll find it difficult to find any seats under 70 euros already).

If you want to see Charles one last time, you can book here.

And if you’d like to buy some of his records, his official site sells a replica Arc de Triomphe containing his entire catalogue of 44 albums. Only 700 euros plus postage & packing!
