A cosy designer studio for short-term rental just next to the Pompidou Centre

Not only do we have six rather nice hotels, but we also now have two splendid apartments available too! The latest is in the heart of the Marais area, 30 seconds from the Pompidou Centre. We wanted to offer you something cosy, chic and modern, so check out our photos and take the quick guided tour with our little movie!

Recently we’ve added two apartments to our site, available for short term rental. Some people like being in a hotel and having all the services that go with it, others prefer the feeling of a real home and their own kitchen. Now you can take your pick!

The new apartment, available for stays of between 3 and 14 nights, is a little designer gem on the rue de Montmorency in the Marais area (click here to see it on the map. It’s situated just by the Pompidou Centre). After three months of work, the place has been completely transformed.

With just 18m², the challenge was to fit everything in and yet give the impression of space. We wanted it to feel cosy, comforting, with luxurious touches like the designer wallpaper and a high-quality Italian sofabed specially destined for everyday use (there’s nothing worth than sleeping badly on a poor sofabed). In the main room there’s a 5.1 surround Home Cinema System for films and music, an iPod dock, Internet via free wi-fi and around 100 channels to watch on the HD Ready flatscreen TV.

Large cupboards on each side of the couch allow you to tuck everything out of the way, leaving the maximum amount of room possible.

In the kitchen, the mood changes. From the period parquet of the living room we go to specially-designed Spanish cement tiles that create a strong colourful graphic element to liven up the black lacquer that dominates. The work surface is black waxed concrete, there’s an induction hob, hidden refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee- and tea-making facilities and all you need to cook a light meal (apart from the food!). Although it’s tucked into the entrance of the apartment, you don’t feel squashed, especially as there’ s giant-size picture of a mountain range to add a bit of kitsch!

The bathroom is behind a huge pane of frosted glass. Tiled white (the same tiles as you find in the Paris metro) with touches of stainless steel, the colourful cement tiles carry on into the room. Upon entering, the light turns on automatically and the towel warmer keeps the room at a comfortable temperature. The designer shower gleams and the Italian sink has a slight air of the 70s about it. Thanks to the large window it’s a bright and airy room. A maximum amount of comfort in a minimum amount of space!

Here’s the films of the guided tour (2 minutes) to give you a better idea of the space.

We hope that this quick glimpse had made you want to come and stay! There’s more information on the apartment here on our website, and an article published on American website unplggd.com here with lots of tech details…

Don’t forget the other apartment that we have on the Left Bank, bigger and in a different style, is still available here on our site.
