Photo Month – Off – 2008

Even more photos for November. They’re everywhere!

After our article about Photo Month 2008 in Paris, you probably thought you knew everything there was to know about the event. You were horribly wrong. We didn’t mention Photo Month – Off, a fringe festival held in parallel to the official event sur le Mois de la Photo 2008 à Paris, with over 100 exhibitions on offer.

The aim is to show an alternative selection, younger, more dynamic, more accessible and less conventional. This is only the second time the Off festival has been organised after a ten year hiatus, so make the most of it!

The website and a Google map are there to guide you, and we have already taken a liking to two events that are happening not far from our hotels. The first is Vibrations Végétales by Thomas Lang, being shown in the display cases of the métro station Saint-Germain-des-Prés (1st – 28th November, 6am – 1am every day)…

…and the other is Intérieur(s) by Karine Lhemon at a gallery called “Fabrice Diomard – L’autre maison”, 12 rue Jacob, 75006 Paris, (28th October – 29th November, Tuesdays 2 – 7pm, Wednesday – Saturday 11am – 7pm, closed Sundays and Mondays).

Of course there’s more to see all over the city. Her’s your map! A bigger version can be seen here.
