Trocadéro metro station (partially) closed

Beware if you are going to the Eiffel Tower and getting off at Trocadero: the station will be partially closed until the end of Spring…

Alright we admit it, there are other stations nearer the Eiffel Tower, like Bir-Hakeim (line 12) ou the RER C station Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel, but neither give you the jaw-dropping lofty view that you get when arriving from Trocadero (lines 6 & 9). We just wanted to warn you that renovation work means that one of the metro lines going there will be closed for a couple of months, followed by the other one. And don’t think you can just arrive on one line, take a corridor and go out via the other: you can’t!

Here’s our quick guide to make sure you have all the details and arrive successfully:

from 5th January – 13th March 2009 inclusive line 6 will be closed at Trocadero

and from 23rd March – 15th May 2009 inclusive la line 9 will be closed.

So, until 13th March use line 9 to get there, and from 23rd March onwards take line 6. Simple!

And from 16th May onwards, take whichever one you prefer! 😉
