Macrophotography exhibition by Ludovic Salomon at La Bellevilloise

A what exhibition? Well, come close. Closer. Closer still. Look! There you go!

With a theme of “macrophotographic textures”, the forty photos selected for the exhibition show the colours, forms and almost graphic shapes that nature has to offer. Without knowing the scale, or the size of the whole, you lose yourself in the intriguing beauty of the image.

Vegetable, mineral, everyday objects… the subject of the photos is often unusual, like a mint lemonade drink or a fractal coffee.

“The positioning of the elements, the water, the light, the lines and ridges, the minute textures, all these are essential for my macrophotographic work. I also take a scientific approach by noting and classifying all the forms made by the fractals and trying to understand they way they are formed,” explains Ludovic Salomon. These photographs are a quick glance at just part of his work form the last four years.
