I met him completely by chance when walking in the street. Told him that I’d like to take his portrait and he immediately gave me his telephone number. Photo taken in 1977. He lived in the Marais. Photo taken in his garden, as if it were outdoors at a country house. The shooting was very quick, it was very cold.

The Bruno de Monès exhibition continues until 26th June 2010.
