For an amazing view of the le Jardin des Tuileries, the Louvre, place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées and beyond…Our advice would be to try and time our visit so you’re there on the hour, when the Eiffel Tower sparkles for ten minutes. From 65 metres up, the effect is amazing (or perhaps worrying, if you don’t like heights).

And don’t forget that if the weather’s bad, the big wheel won’t turn at all!

So how much does the moment of wonder/terror cost? 10 euros for adults, 5 euros for under 10 year-olds (yep, the prices have risen by over 10% in two years!).

The big wheel is at the place de la Concorde (ici, you really can’t miss it) until 27th February 2011. Open everyday from 11am – midnight. Closes early on 24th and 31st December.
