Limited edition ‘Haute Couture’ mannequins by Emmanuel Bossuet at the Bon Marché

Stockman is a venerable French firm specialising in hand-made shop dummies, but they’re not necessarily stuck in the past; a new collaboration with designer Emmanuel Bossuet of Studio EEM has resulted in the creation of three striking “haute couture” models that you can see – and buy – at the Bon Marché department store in April. They’ve been doing it and doing it well since 1867; Stockman have their niche – shop dummies and busts – and still make everything by hand. Quite extraordinary! As is asking hot designer Emmanuel Bossuet (who has worked with Philippe Starck, Martine Sitbon, Sonia Rykiel…) to design three limited edition dummies. He came back with these striking black and white designs that cleverly mix old and new.

Only ten of each have been made, and you can see them during April at the Bon Marché (two minutes from La Belle Juliette) in their amazing literature space on the 2nd floor (its glass and mirrored ceiling has to be seen to be believed).Perhaps you’ll even be tempted to buy one of them? That’ll be 2.200€ please! For the rest of, going and having a look is thankfully completely free…

And if you’d like to see more before going, check out this gallery.

Le Bon Marché is open every day except Sundays from 10am – 8pm (9pm on Thursdays and Fridays).
