L’envers et l’endroit (upside down and right way up), an exhibition by the ENSAD at the 104 arts space
until 1st April 2012

The l’École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs show the grand projects and films by a generation of creative types that have passed through their hallowed halls, together with a series of debates and talks about the future of design and contemporary creation.

The ten specialties of the ENSAD school (interior architecture, animated film, installation art, graphic design/multimedia, object design, textile design, clothes design, printed image, photo/video and scenography) are all represented in the exhibition, with several artists that are happy to criss-cross from one discipline to the next and mix their styles.

For the film Fairy Queen, director Jean-Paul Civeyrac used the students as actors, writers and as technical and artistic teams. The exhibition doensn’t just show his fim (at 2.30pm, 4pm and 6pm) but also extends the experience with a behind the scenes exhition of its own, entitled, “L’Envers du film”.French speakers might like to take part in the cycle of debates and talks being given by a number of writers, artists, philosophers, sociologists and economists.

L’envers et l’endroit (upside down and right way up) is at the 104 (here) until 1st April 2012

Open every day except Mondays, weekdays from midday – 7pm, weekends from 11am – 7pm
