For its 15th anniversary, the Solidays festival has 80 concerts on offer and a lot, lot more, with all profits going to help combat AIDS.

You could call it the most useful music festival in the Paris region – Solidays is back with a greta line-up (again!), and more to be announced shortly, including:

Friday 28th June – Bloc Party, 2ManyDJs (DJ set), Poni Hoax, Raggasonic, Bumcello…

Saturday 29th June – Lilly Wood & The Prick, Asian Dub Foundation, Tété, Orelsan, Wax Tailor…

Sunday 30th June – Django Django, Alice Russell, Maceo Parker, Asaf Avidan, er, David Guetta…

But music is just a part of the proceedings…Try the silent disco (with everyone wearing headphones), the saucy exhibition sex in the city, meet the outrageous French Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, relax in the green corner, taste yummy food from one of the forty world food restaurants, visit the funfair, keep the kids busy in their own special area, and remember there are club nights on offer too!

Just try and avoid David Guetta, OK?

With profits going to Solidarité Sida, the festival earns them 1.5 million euros that are used to finance preventative actions aimed at young people and those helping others living with AIDS. Important stuff indeed.

The 2013 Solidays Festival runs from 28th-30th June at the Hippodrome de Paris-Longchamps (here)
