Paris makes the most of the closure of the Szépmuvészeti Múzeum (which is being renovated until 2018) to show the museum’s most spectacular paintings and sculptures, with works from Manet, Gaugin, Rodin and Goya, plus a dozen examples of the best Hungarian art.

Some people might not know that the Szépmuvészeti Múzeum – the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts – has an incredible collection of art, founded at the end of the 19th century and added to constantly as the city became an economic powerhouse. Now’s the moment to see the their most impressive pieces.

Many of the works of art have rarely been seen in Europe, and will be a real revelation for the Parisian public, especially as even more items have been added to the exhibition by the Hungarian National Gallery.
