This is the first Parisian retrospective of Henri Fantin-Latour‘s work in nearly 35 years, and it’s just minutes from our hotels!

Mostly known for his still lifes and group portraits, Henri Fantin-Latour also created many paintings fuelled purely by his imagination, which this new exhibition hopes to help you discover.

Presented chronologically, it starts with the artist’s astonishing self-portraits from the 1850s/60s, the still lifes and then shows the evolution toward something more poetic, bringing the painter closer to the work of the symbolists.
All in all almost a hundred pieces are on show – sixty paintings, plus drawings, lithographs, preparatory sketchs…
