On Sunday, Simone Veil and her husband found their final resting place in the Pantheon (you can read our article about the ceremony here).

The staff of our hotels were able to watch the proceedings from very close up from the balconies of the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon and Hotel des Grands Hommes, and Sylvia Harrault – the manager of the Hotel Baume – wanted to share her photos with the readers of the blog.

The event has inspired a small group of French activists to create the hashtag #MerciSimone. You might like to check out what they’re up to using the links below.
