1950s Left Bank Paris was famous for its jazz joints, dive bars and cabarets. Now one of them is being reborn at la Belle Juliette – on Thursday 14th October 2021, a pianist and five singers will regale you with songs from the era, for free!

You might be vaguely familiar with Boris Vian, a multi-talented musician and singer-songwriter, many of whose songs have been French classics. Vian was one of the founders of the Cabaret de la Rose Rouge, a very famous cabaret-théâtre on the Left Bank of 1950s Paris, and la Belle Juliette is bringing it back to life for a special night!

With Patrice Peyrieras tickling the ivories, singers Prunella Rivière, Lucrèce Sassella, Colette Kraffe and Marie Piton will be performing a dozen songs from the era, and a mystery guest will finish off the night with one of Boris Vian’s best-know songs. I wonder who this mystery singer could be? 😜

Places for the cabaret night, which is happening in the salon at the Clos Belle Juliette – the hotel’s bar-restaurant – are free but limited!
