Ron Mueck exhibition at the Cartier Foundation, 8th June – 5th November 2023

Back for a third exhibition at the Cartier Foundation (close to our hotels), artiste Ron Mueck is showing a selection of works never seen in France before, including his monumental installation Mass which is on display outside of Australia for the first time ever, as well as a large sculpture created specially for the new show and some hyperrealistic iconic pieces from his career.

This is your chance to see a hundred giant skulls produced by Ron Mueck, being shown outside of Australia for the first time – Mass was commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria in 2017, and is still the artist’s biggest installation to date.

Its presence in Paris is a very special event, and its sheer size is sure to make a lasting impression.

Other exclusives are on offer too – Dead Weight is another skull, but in cast iron and weighing nearly two tons, created specially for the exhibition. You’ll also be able to see an spectacular new piece representing a group of menacing dogs.

These works illustrate a new direction for the artist, whose work until now has generally been hyperrealistic sculptures of humans, including Baby, A Girl and Man In A Boat, all of which are also on show.
