Lasting just a little longer than last year’s edition (almost five weeks) the Mille et une orchidées (1,001 Orchids) event is back in the hothouses of the Jardin des Plantes (not far from our hotels), with – as ever – some truly amazing flowers.

This is the 12th annual edition of Mille et une orchidées, and a great excuse to go and visit the impressive hothouses of the Jardin des Plantes, decked out with 1,000m² of exotic orchids like you’ve never seen before!

Much like last year, two different ‘routes’ have been created, one by the venue’s gardeners (together with those of the Versailles-Chèvreloup Arboretum which is also managed by the Jardin des Plantes), and the other, for the first time, by Christophe Duminil, who is head of the orchid collection at the Senate.

It has to be said, the presentation is pretty impressive…

And the orchid-related gift shop is back, 30% bigger this year, with a selection of orchids to take home, look after and marvel at. You can also take part in workshops about repotting your orchids, and learn how to make them flower year after year (something we have never managed, alas!)

Finally, despite the longer duration and bigger shop, the event itself has not increased its admission fees this year (9€ / 7€). Don’t miss this unusual and stunning presentation close to our hotels! 🥰

Open every day except Tuesdays from 10am-5pm (6pm from 1st March onwards). Last ticket an hour before closing
