S’affranchir – The Weight of Words by Véronique Béland at the Post Office Museum until 27th April 2026

The Post Office Museum near our hotels has a new ‘carte blanche’ from French-Canadian artist Véronique Béland, with three poetic and interactive installations that reinterpret the way we receive and perceive messages.

Set among the exhibits of the museum’s permanent collection (that we visited for you a while back, and loved), the three installations from Véronique Béland combine art with the history of communication.

L’inventaire du visible (Inventory of the Visible), where you are invited to listen to the image and see the sound 🤔

Le poids des mots (The Weight of Words), where you write a message and the weight of the ink used sets off a robotic arm that makes a special drawing (that you can take home with you), and

Recombinaison (Recombination), where you place your hand on a sensor connected to a meteorite that generates a unique message inspired by cosmic fluctationss.

And for this year’s White Night arts event, the museum will be free from 6pm onwards, with the artist present to show her works at 6.30pm, 8pm, 9.30pm and 11pm!

Otherwise, you can check out the ‘carte blanche’ at the Museum until 27th April 2026.
