It’s one of our favourite events of the year, and close to our hotels – Mille et une orchidées (A Thousand and One Orchids) has returned to the Jardin des Plantes with hundreds of jaw-dropping flowers presented in the hothouses, and this year some of the exhibits have been curated by Instagram influencers 😮 🤔

No doubt trying to stay relevant and hip (expect a TikTok account next), the annual exhibition Mille et une orchidées in the Jardin des Plantes has decided that Instagram influencers are a good way to give the exhibition a little more social network pzazz. For example:

— The photo on the event’s poster is by Thibault Charpentier, who also goes by the Insta handles hebdomania and plantes daddy,

— A selection of “twenty unmissable orchids” has been chosen by Romain Maire, aka romain.orchids (also known for having lots of plants and two cats on Instagram), and

— There’s a special presentation in the pool below the hothouses’ giant rock – a collaboration between Romain and Corentin Pfeiffer.

In addition to the thousand spectacular flowers on offer, a 150m² on-site pop-up store has numerous exquisite rare specimens for you to buy and take home, and events are being organised to help visitors discover different types of orchids.
