René Burri is known for his work in black and white, but these rare colour images are just as essential, and they’re being shown in France for the first time at the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff.

Published for the first time in 1959, back when colour was almost never used to illustrate articles because of the prohibitive cost, these photos have rarely been seen. Thanks to a new book published by Phaidon, and of course this splendid exhibition, you can discover them once again.

And as a super bonus, for the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday 6th November, Réne Burri himself will be present from 6-9pm to sign his book! Entrance is free and you are very warmly invited 🙂
